Lovi Love is a San Diego based jewelry collection created by designer Stephanie Lovi in the spring of 2003. Stephanie specializes in creating unique, hand-crafted necklaces, bracelets and earrings. Stephanie was born and raised in beautiful Spokane, Washington and now lives in San Diego, California where life is good with her husband and their two cats Max and Emma. Prior to starting Lovi Love Designs, she spent 15 years in the retail world where she observed that accessories could truly make or break an outfit. Stephanie believes that to create the "Perfect Outfit", you have to go the extra mile and accessorize, so that you don't look half put together.

Designing jewelry was born from a difficult time in Stephanie's life. It was the year 2000; she was newly married, when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. After several months of chemotherapy and recovering from numerous operations, Stephanie realized that she was bored out of her mind. Since she wasn't totally mobile yet, she decided to make those infamous stretchy bracelets, after all they were the latest rage in the retail industry. Working with her hands in this way, not only gave Stephanie an outlet, but it was great for her rehabilitation.

After a ton of bracelets she ventured out to wire wrapping. Stephanie still today wears the first piece she tackled. Her love for making jewelry was also shared with some of her girlfriends. They were able to spend time together, talk, make jewelry and teach each other new techniques... which made it fun! After several classes, Stephanie was able to settle into her own style. Looking back on some of her earlier pieces, you can see how much she has grown. As Stephanie says, "Everyone has to start somewhere and learning from your mistakes is the best education anyone can receive. I just asked my friends not to show off those early pieces too much and remember they were made with a ton of love!"

After her jewelry box was full and all her friends received jewelry gifts for every occasion under the sun, she began selling her prized masterpieces. In November of 2002, Stephanie and her friends held their first trunk show in her home and invited 50 of their closest friends, family members and co-workers. The show was a hit! She says, "It was nice to know that my friends and family loved our pieces as much as we enjoyed making them." Today even with her accomplishments, that tradition continues except now the list is growing to over 300 loyal customers as well as the several that have been there since the start!

Stephanie has enjoyed much success with her pieces as her designs are carried in several studios and boutiques. In May 2005 her designs were featured in Elle Magazine and several other publications since in then. Stephanie loves the creation and construction aspect of designing her collections and also enjoys the challenge of trying to capture the precise look of an occasional commissioned piece.

What inspires her you may ask? She says, "The beauty of everyday life and the images that surround me. I gain happiness knowing when a client is wearing a Lovi Love design its special. It's not mainstream. Even though one may be able to spot other Lovi Love designs you will rarely see a duplicate piece on someone else."

Stephanie's designs are all made by hand, using metals such as sterling silver, various gold compounds, copper and gunmetal. Most pieces are one-of-a-kind or a limited edition. . Sometimes she may have similar versions of a hot seller, but says she likes to make each piece a bit different. One way she is able to achieve the variation is by using different kinds of pearls, semi-precious and natural stones such as, turquoise, abalone, quartz, jade, baroque pearls, amethyst, chalcedony and endless more gems. In addition, Stephanie also uses dramatic pendants, tons of charms, and unique clasps. To really make her jewelry different, Stephanie occasionally blends new ideas and designs with antique pieces she finds on her travels. The Lovi Love look is fun, eclectic and layered. That is how you spot the Lovi Love look! Stephanie encourages you to put several pieces together using varying lengths and colors.

Each one of her pieces is always adorned with her signature "Lovi Love" tag which is how she wishes everyone to wear her pieces... with LOVE, which is just how she makes it for her friends, family and YOU.
